Bantwal: CM Attends Grand Shriramanama Taraka Yajna

Bantwal, Mar 21: Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat inaugurated the Shriramanama Taraka Yajna here on Saturday March 20. The yajna is drawing record crowd from all over the district and surroundings.
Speaking at the religious meeting held in the evening at Mukhya Prana Vedike of Srirama Vidyakendra Chief Minister (CM) B S Yeddyurappa said that government has been prioritizing education and rural development. The provision of basic necessities including that of electricity will be stressed on, he added.
The government has taken a decision to establish Sanskrit college too, said CM adding that the state has made all out efforts to fulfill aspirations of the people.
BJP state president K S Eshwarappa said that Karnataka is the first state in the nation to bring in anti cow slaughter law. He reiterated that the law is not against the ethos of secularism.
Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Mutt presided. Dayananad Pai, entrepreneur from Bangalore, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, district in-charge minister Krishna Palemar and BJP district president Padmanabha Kottari were present.
The poornahuti of the two-day yajna will be held on Sunday March 21 at 3.00 pm. On the day, at 5.30 pm, religious meeting will be held, which will see participation of Dharmastala dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and Pejawar seer.
