B'lore: Justice Gopal Gowda Elevated as CJ of Orissa High Court

Bangalore, Mar 23: Senior judge of the state High Court, Justice Gopal Gowda, has been promoted as Chief Justice and posted to Orissa High Court.

Justice Gowda, who was born in Peddur village of Chikballapur district on October 6, 1951, started working as an advocate in 1975. On June 11, 1997, he was posted as an additional judge of the High Court. His services were confirmed on June 3, 1999.

He was appointed as the chairman of State Legal Services Authority in 2006. During his term, he conducted various programmes in rural areas. He also served as a member of the National Legal Services Authority.

Several ground breaking verdicts including Metro project, Bannerghatta Night Safari, Bandipur National Park, Bangalore Turf Club etc., were delivered by Justice Gopal Gowda.

    This Gopalgowda is not honest. Wherever he goes he encourages corruption in lower judiciary and corrupt elements in judiciary. He is a biggest liability wherever he goes.
