Beltangady: Man attacked by son dies at hospital

Beltangady, Aug 24: In the incident where a man, who was attacked by his son in the morning on Monday August 24, the man died at the hospital without responding to treatment.

The accused has been identified as Dayanand.

It may be recalled, Vasu Sapalya, a taxi driver, was taking a stroll on the junior college ground road here was attacked with lethal weapons by his own son.

Vasu, who suffered critical injuries, was admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru where he died without responding to treatment.

The deceased is survived by three sons and a daughter.

Beltangady, Aug 24: In a despicable incident which happened in the town on Monday August 24 morning, a taxi driver identified as Vasu Sapalya, who was taking a stroll on the junior college ground road here was attacked with lethal weapons by his own son.

Vasu, who suffered critical injuries, stands admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru.

Reportedly, there are longstanding differences between the father and son on certain issues. These are said to be the reason for the savagely attack.

Town police personnel have visited the spot, undertook spot inspection, and registered a case.
