Udupi: Mortal remains of man who left bike on railway bridge found

Udupi, Aug 24: Mortal remains of a man were found on the railway track near Bolje Udyavar of Kaup taluk in the district. The deceased is identified as Ubeidullah.

Ubeidullah is a resident of Mallaru village in Kaup taluk. It is said that he was seen by locals in an inebriated condition at around 9 pm on Sunday, August 23, near Udyavara Balaji railway track. Locals informed the police about the incident. Bike and mobile of the deceased were found on the spot where the mortal remains of the deceased were found.

Giving details of the incident, an eye witness said, "Deceased person had come to the railway track around 9 pm on Sunday. I have seen him inebriated and was shivering while walking. Today, I saw his body on the railway track and informed the police of the same."

Family members of the deceased have arrived at the spot and identified the mortal remains. Circle inspector Mahesh Prasad has visited the spot of incident and conducted the inspection. A case of unnatural death is registered at the Kaup police station. Mortal remains of the deceased were taken to KMC Manipal for post mortem.
