Mangalore, Mar 30: As a city bus that was on its way to Suratkal from the city, moved about erratically while passing by Prabhat Talkies on K S Rao Road here at around 10.15 pm on Monday March 29, six vehicles were damaged, and four persons, including a lady, were injured.

The bus, bearing route No.53 bound from State Bank to Suratkal, swerved from its lane, reportedly because of the negligence of its driver. It hit an auto rickshaw, a Maruti Omni van and four two-wheelers in the process. Out of the four injured, one was admitted into Wenlock government hospital, while the other two were admitted into private hospitals.

Details of the injured persons are not available. The traffic police station personnel have registered a case. From Prabhat Talkies to Navabharat Circle, one-way traffic has been enforced because of the ongoing road concreting work. This section always witnesses traffic blocks and snarls, because of the fact that several vehicles, particularly the two and three wheelers, try to move on the opposite direction of this one-way road.

In karnataka we cannot blame only for drivers but whole traffic administration. Getting a driving license in Karnatka is very very easy and the same time system of law and order is very poor. so whom to blame??

I had the misfortune of viewing live the bus dashing against the said vehicles. I was standing in front of Ramdev Sweets, KS Rao Road and watched everything in utter shock. The driver was clearly in a drunken condition and was totally in an unconscious state. The best thing I could do was inform 108. Such drivers should be shot dead!

The passengers in the bus should make the driver halt and complain to the authorities, in case of rash and negligent driving. After all, their lives are at risk too..
