1,355 positive cases take J&K's Covid tally to 45,925


Srinagar, Sep 8 (IANS): Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday reported 1,355 new Covid-19 cases, taking the Union Territory's coronavirus tally to 45,925, while 14 deaths in the last 24 hours mounted the UT's death toll to 815.

A statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said that of the 1,355 new cases reported on Tuesday, 785 were from Jammu division and 570 from Kashmir division.

Of the 14 deaths reported on Tuesday, 8 were from Jammu division and 6 from Kashmir division.

With 33,251 persons recovering completely from the disease so far, the number of active cases in the UT presently stands at 11,859, of which 5,776 are in Jammu division and 6,083 in Kashmir division.
