R S Co-operative Bank’s New Branch to be Opened at Kalyan (West)

The fifth branch of Rajapur Sarsawat (R S) Co-operative Bank will be inaugurated at Om Akanksha Apartment, Ram Bagh, Kalyan (West), here on Sunday April 11, informed Bank chairman, Kacheri Sadanand D Nayak.

“The small community of Rajapur Saraswat Brahmins, most of whom are the disciples of  the spiritual head of  Kaivalya Mutt, located in Goa – Ponda, has contributed significantly for the economic empowerment of ordinary Bank customers, since over a decade in the metro. The Bank has bagged the ‘Best Bank’ award for four successive years from Maharastra State Co-operative Banks Association.  The Bank has achieved a business turnover of over Rs 55 crore and advanced loans to the tune of Rs 36 crore, Nayak added.
 
The Bank was founded by S Sanjeev Nayak, a veteran leader of the community, at the suburban Borivali (West), here during the year 1997. It was sponsored by the metro-based R S Sangh.  Sadanand Nayak has transformed it into a progressive Bank, during the period he was elected as the Bank’s chairman for four successive years. 
 
The second branch of the Bank was opened at Pushpa Park, Malad (West), here during 2001, the third branch at Dombivali (West), and the fourth one at the suburban Dahisar (East), here in 2003. The headquarters of the Bank was shifted to Swapna Siddi Commercial Complex, Kandivali (East), here in 2007.
