‘Kulal Utsav’, Cultural Extravaganza of Kulal Community, Held in Metro

‘Kulal Utsav’, the annual cultural extravaganza of Kulal community, was organized at Kamgar Ground, Parel, Elphinstone Road (West), here on Sunday April 4.  It was held under the aegis of Kulal Foundation, Mangalore and the metro-based Kulal Sangh.
 
Sri Sugunendrateertha Swamiji of Puttige Mutt, Udupi, inaugurated the programme, which began with Sri Vinayaka and Sri Laxmi puja, performed by Vedic scholar, Santinja Janardan Bhat.


 
Nasik-based entrepreneurs, Sanjeev K Bangera and Ramanand Bangera, Pune-based Kulal Sudharak Sangh president, Sadashiv R Banjan, Kulal Sangh, Perdoor, president Rama Kulal, Perdoor Vyavasaya Sahakari Sangh president, Satish Kulal, Kulal Sangh Mundkoor president, Manjappa Moolya, Manjeshwar Kulal Sangh president, Damodar Moolya K, Samaj Seva Sahakari Bank Bantwal president, K Dayanand Belloor, Kulal Samaj Seva Sangh Puttur president, Dharmappa Moolya, Kulal Sangh, Kolya president, Devappa Moolya, lawyer and Dakshina Kannada Moolyara Yane Kulal Sangh Mangalore vice president, Laxman Kunder, were the guests of honour at the function.
 
Dr M V Kulal, managing director of Manjunath Hospital, Kundapur, presided over the seminar on ‘Kulal community’s past, present and future perspective’ held on Sunday morning.
 
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy’s former president, M K Sitaram Kulal, Udupi-based government first grade college head of post graduate studies in social work, Dr Duggappa Kajekar, Mangalore-based senior journalist, Chidambar Bykampady and others participated in the seminar.
 
Chidambar Bykampady (journalism), Sundar Moodbidri (drama), Bhoja B Bangera (Yakshagana), Narayan K Banjan (religion), P Devdas Kulal (social work), Muttamma Madikeri (social work), K C Leelavati (education) and Janaki Teacher (education) were felicitated by Soundarya Manjappa Moolya P, president of Soundarya Education Trust, Bangalore.
 
Utsav committee office bearers, N G Moolya, Bokkapatna Dinesh Kulal, B Suresh Kulal, Kalavar Harish Kulal, B Sitaram Kulal, B Nagesh Kulal, lawyer Laxman Kundar, B Premanand Kulal, honorary president, P K Salian, Sundar Karmaran, Aithu Moolya Mundkoor and others were present at the dais.
 
Journalist, Shashidhar Poyyatabail, compered the programme.
 
A Tulu musical programme was presented as part of the cultural programme by Ganesh Yermal and troupe.

    It's really great to see such activities,we are very peace loving, hard working people without recoginastion, nobody bothered about our community,specially our youngester's, Please try to give more & more encourage to our youngester's,so they can build our community,though we can not attend these activities,certainly there will be support from our side,

    All community's unity is the strength of our nation. As it was held on 4th April,2010 at Kamgar Krida Bhavan, Mumbai. What a colourful day! It was really Kulala Utsava conducted by Kulala Pratishthana,Mangalore & Kulala Sangha,Mumbai.Congratulation to Mr.P.K.Salian and Dinesh Kulal. We sincerely appreciate those who supported directly and indirectly to the success of the Utsava especially Karnataka Malla and Udayavani. Also thanks to "Daijiworld" to give an opportunity to express our views on "Kulala Utsava".
