Udupi, Apr 8: The annual feast of Our Lady of Dolours Chapel, Shirva here was celebrated on Wednesday April 7.
The mass was held at 10.30 am. Fr Edwin was the main celebrant of the mass and it was concelebrated by Fr Maxim, Fr Richard and Fr Fredrick.
Evening mass commenced at 7 pm. Fr Steevan D’Souza was the main celebrant and it was concelebrated by Fr Maxim, Fr Richard and Fr Fredrick.
As many as 1500 devotees gathered on the occasion.
Our Lady of Dolours chapel is known as Irmiz in the Portuguese language and it was established by the Portuguese. .
Our Lady of Dolours feast is celebrated every year on the Wednesday after Easter Sunday. At present, all the votive masses accepted by the Shirva church are offered at the chapel regularly.
