Kundapur: Car, scooter collision, Scooter rider dies on spot

Kundapur, Sep 21: In an accident that occurred on national highway 66 at Navunda near here a scooter rider died on the spot, when his scooter was hit by a Swift car.

The deceased person is identified as Ismail (56), a resident of Navunda.

Ismail was going to his house from the market area, when the Swift car hit his scooter. Due to the impact of the accident Ismail was thrown to the road and died on the spot.

Ismail's mortal remains were shifted to the mortuary at Kundapur government hospital. His father, who arrived to the hospital after he got the news, fell unconscious on seeing the lifeless body of his son. He is also admitted to the hospital.

A case in this connection is registered in Byndoor police station.

    Not even a day passes of without the news of accident. please drive slow especially in rainy season. traffic police should punish unruly drivers . so sad

    The scooter rider was on the wrong side
    he was crossing over the divider with scooter .
    When he touched the road the car came and hit him.
    As here it was the scooter riders mistake.
