Udupi, Sep 22: On behalf of Paryaya Admar Math, fever resistant concoction and food were distributed to the people, a press release issued by the Math said.
Due to heavy rainfall experienced on Sunday September 20, areas like Kalsanka, parking area of Sri Krishna Math and Bailakere area located around Sri Krishna Math had experienced floods. As per tie wishes of Paryaya Sri Ishaplriya Teertha Swamiji, manager of Admar Math, Goindaraj and local entrepreneur, Harish Bailakere, undertook house to house visits in these areas, enquired about the health and needs of the families, and arranged for their breakfast. At around 11 am, fever resistant concoction was distributed to all the houses in these localities.
Food was served to about 400 members of around 80 families living in the neighbourhood of Sri Krishna Math on behalf of Sri Krishna Math. Rice, Saru, ash gourd sambar, and Payasam were distributed to individual houses.
Sri Ishapriya Teertha Swamiji, MLA, K Raghupathi Bhat, municipal commissioner, revenue assistant commissioner, superintendent of police, and municipal councillors as well as Harish Bailakere, a local who led the operation, along with the manager of the Math and Y N R Rao of Sri Krishna Seva Balaga were present on the occasion. In the evening, Sri Ishapriya Teertha Swamiji offered prayers to Lord Sri Krishna and Mukhyaprasana praying for the welfare of the society in general on Sunday evening. The prayers were offered after the night Puja by the Swamiji, duly accompanied by Vedic scholars.
