Karkala: International Nutrition Week celebrated at Belman primary health care center

Karkala, Sep 26: International Nutrition Week was celebrated at the primary health care centre at Belman in the taluk under the joint auspices of Rotary Club Belman, primary health care centre Belman and various Anganwadi centres.

Dr B Balakrishna Rao, medical officer of the primary health care centre, was the resource person. He gave detailed information to the gathering on the benefits of consuming nutritious food and the importance of it.



Soubhagya, the supervisor of Anganwadi centres, who was the chief guest of the function, conveyed her good wishes for the programme and also appreciated the various programmes held by Rotary Club of Belman.

The programme was presided over by Rtn Subhash Kumar, president of Rotary Club of Belman. Rtn Rajesh Salian, coordinator of the programme was present. The programme was compered by Rtn Mohandas Shetty. Secretary Rtn Raviraj Shetty rendered the vote of thanks.

More than 50 people including locals, Rotary Club members, Asha workers and personnel of primary health care centre were present.
