Mangalore: State Intensifies Efforts to Weed Out Naxals

Mangalore, Apr 13: The state government has been taking steps to eliminate the naxals in a bid to cleanse the state of the protagonists of naxalism. With the aim of drawing the support of the people in its initiative, it has announced rewards for those who pass on information relating to the naxals to it.

The police department has now brought out pamphlets containing the photographs of  19 naxal leaders like B G Krishnamurty from Srigeri, Prabha from Hosagadde, Teerthahalli, Neelaguli Padmanabh from Chikmagalur, Mahesh from Raichur, Sridhar from Chitradurga etc. It has announced rewards running into lacs of rupees, and has promised to keep the names of the informers a secret.

Those having any information about the naxals, may convey the same to ANF Commander, western range, superintendent of police, Chikmagalur district or superintendent of police, Anti Naxal Force, Ramasamudra, Karkala.
