Panaji: GHRC closed after policeman tests Covid positive

Panaji, Oct 1: The Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) will be closed until Friday, October 2 for sanitization of the building after a policeman at the commission tested Covid positive. A notice was issued stating that all proceeding for hearings will be taken up only on October 28.

The commission is getting closed for the second time. In early September a driver attached to the commission tested positive after which the commission was closed for three days.

As the commission lacks video conferencing facility, the members, complainants and advocates appear in person.
