Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 7 (IANS): Kerala Power Minister M.M. Mani on Wednesday announced he has tested positive for coronavirus.
The CPI-M leader became the fourth Minister in the Pinarayi Vijayan cabinet to have been infected for coronavirus, after Finance Minister Thomas Issac, Industries Minister E.P.Jayarajan, and Agriculture Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar. However, all three have recovered by now and have resumed their duties.
Mani, who announced his test results over social media, asked all those who have had direct contact with him in the past few days to take proper steps according to Covid protocols.
Soon after testing positive, the Minister, who is in his mid-70s, was admitted to the Medical College Hospital here and a team of medical professionals are attending on him as he has few other ailments too.
