'Farooq Gandhi' or 'Rahul Abdullah', 2 sides of same coin: BJP

New Delhi, Oct 12 (IANS): The BJP on Monday slammed National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah's statement regarding Article 370 that has created a row, urging him to "go and settle at any place he pleases" if it irks him so much.

At a press conference, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra also lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his party alleging that the Congress has opened a new office in Turkey, a nation known for its anti-India stance.

"Whether you call them Farooq Gandhi or Rahul Abdullah, there's no difference between the two. Both are the same, totally same. Both are two sides of the same coin," Patra said.

Upping the ante against Abdullah for his latest interview that has created a massive row, Patra said, "The kind of softness about Pakistan and China and the kind of shamelessness about India raise a lot of questions in themselves."

He further asked, "Does it suit an MP to question the sovereignty of the country, question the independence of the country? Are these not anti-nationals?"

"Farooq Abdullah can go and settle at any place he pleases if it irks him so much," Patra said.

Patra was referring to the controversial statement of Abdullah where he said that he hopes that Article 370 will be restored in Jammu & Kashmir with China's support. The NC leader had also blamed the Centre's decision to abrogate Article 370 for the recent Chinese incursions at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

"In a way, Farooq Abdullah justifies China's expansionist mindset in his interview. At the same time, he makes another anti-India comment that if he gets a chance in the future, he will bring Article 370 back with China's help," said Patra.

The BJP did not stop at that and brought in Rahul Gandhi, Congress signing an MoU with the Chinese Communist Party, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury's controversial comment labelling an internal Indian matter as "bilateral" in Parliament, among other instances.

"Rahul Gandhi became a hero in Pakistan by questioning the surgical strikes and Balakot air strikes. Today Farooq Abdullah has become a hero in China," alleged the BJP.

two points on "Farooq Abdullah's" calculated statement release:
    1. He is making aware of the intentions of Pakistan in what seems to be a co-ordinated trouble making exericise by China-Pakistan scheme in last 8 months.
    2. Typical political statement, by claiming what no other politician in Kashmir in his genre has claimed. Trying have this 'watershed' moment. This is what some thrive on.

When a soldier plunges into the depths of what seems like a huge -endless- pit, the soldier with a gun in hand shoots randomly in every direction hoping to wound someone!

Namaste Shaarade Devii Kaashmiira-Pura-Vaasini. Please understand Farooq. It's of no avail.

Anyone who questions the Govt is dubbed Anti National. What about Modi who celebrated Navaz Sharifs birthday in Lahore and relished Pakistani Biryani. What about Modi's foreign Jaunts and the colossul waste of tax payers money with nothing that we as a nation got in return. What about all the 18 visits by Modi to China and what did we get in return. China occupied thirty eight thousand sq kms of our territory as confirmed by our RM. The Julla Diplomacy of Modi with China did not work.

"Why has PM Modi received Chinese money in the PM-CARES fund, despite the overt Chinese hostilities? Has PM received Rs 7 crore from the controversial company Huawei ? Does Huawei have a direct connection with People's Liberation Army of China? Has the Chinese company owning TikTok facilitated a donation of Rs 30 crore to the controversial PM CARES Fund?"

How about an Independent Audit for the PM Cares fund and the Electrol Bonds.

    Mr. Patra,

It's irrelevant whether Abdullah will bring Art. 370 back or not, you please explain the nation, what good did the abrogation do ? Have terror activities decline ? Have infiltration attempts stop ? Have neighbouring countries' crossing the border to encroach stop ? When none of these is YES, how did Abrogation help ? You tell me.

As for RG establishing an office in Turkey , what did PM Modi do in past six years that all three neighbouring countries in the North have started anti-India activities ? RG is not barging into people's homes uninvited like your party head does so stop cribbing assuming he has offices allover the world.

This is a case for genuine court case to be filed for racial and communal descrimination against BJP and Sambit Patra. Both Farooq Abdullaha and Rahul Gandhi are legal Indian citizens by ancestry and have all the right to question about article 370. So what authority does Sambit Patra has to make such deregatory remarks against undemocratically and unconstitutionally imposed article 370. It's BJP should be guilty and answerable for such unlawful misendeavour.

Can you read between lines of Modi visiting China 10 times while he was only the CM Gujrat???????...Now Modi doesn't accuse China against occupying our land , killing our soldiers and never addresses China by name, in fact China is praising Modi, why so much love for China????????.....China is equal partner with Modi in PM CARES Fund. Syed Modi and Nasserrudin Shah are close relatives of BJP.
