398 test positive, J&K Covid-19 tally crosses 84k


Srinagar, Oct 13 (IANS): At least 398 people have tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday as the total number of people infected with coronavirus crossed 84,000 in the union territory, officials said.

A statement issued by the information and public relations department said 398 tested positive today, 159 from Jammu division and 239 from Kashmir division.

So far, 84,031 people have been infected with Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir out of which 72,706 have recovered completely.

At least 1,333 patients have been killed by the dreaded virus in Jammu and Kashmir including 11 who succumbed on Monday.

The number of active cases is now 9,992 out of which 4,073 are from Jammu division and 5919 are from Kashmir division.
