Udupi, Oct 13: “Mithun Rai should withdraw his derogatory words against Yogi Adityanath and apologise to him in public. The insult and expletives hurled against the saffron clothing of the swamiji to whom the entire Hindu community reveres as Guru and slander in singular form has hurt the sentiments of the entire Yogi community. Therefore legal action should be taken against Mithun Rai,” urged Karanataka Nadapantha Jogi Samaja Seva Samithi state chief convener Ramanath Jogi Bhatkal.
Speaking in a press conference in Udupi press club on Tuesday, he said that Mithun Rai has hurt the entire Hindu community and Nadapantha Jogi community without the knowledge of Natha tradition and about the president of the seat.
“Mithun Rai has insulted Yogi Adityanath in a public place near Thokkottu central bus stand, Mangaluru. Mithun Rai who said that he will apply soot to the face of Yogi Adityanath, does not know the history of Yogi Adityanath. The Yogi has sentimental attachment with Dakshina Kannada district.”
“Mithun Rai has hurt Hindu beliefs. We will protest against anybody speaking against Hindu traditions. We object to his personal insults. Complaints against Mithun Rai are already registered in several places. We will complain in Udupi also,” he said.
Shivaram Balegar Murudeshwar, state president; Suresh Jogi Koteshwar, district president; Sathyanarayana Jogi, secretary; Suresh Jogi Hebri, Ashok Jogi, Uday Kumar Jogi, Balakrishna Jogi and others were present.
