Union minister Harsh Vardhan announces Covid vaccine by early 2021

New Delhi, Oct 13: While countries across are racing to find vaccine for Covid, for millions of Indians it comes as a good news as on Tuesday Union health minister Harsh Vardhan said that by early 2021 vaccine against Covid-19 is expected. Harsh Vardhan added that experts in the country are in the planning process on the distribution of the vaccine in the county.

“We’re expecting that early next year we should have vaccine in the country from maybe more than one source. Our expert groups are formulating strategies to plan on how to roll out the distribution of the vaccine in the country”, said Harsh Vardhan during Group of Ministers meeting.

The announcements from the Union minister comes at a time when the country's Covid cases have surpases 71 lac mark. The health ministry on Tuesday released the data that stated coronavirus cases in India stands at 71,75,881 including 8,38,729 active cases, 62,27,296 cured/discharged/migrated cases & 1,09,856 deaths.

    He first said August 15, 2020. Later changed the date to November 2020. Now he is telling early 2021.

    In January 2021 he will tell March 2021. Announcing date is only his job.

    Mr vaccine has many stages for completion even this early 2021 is just an assumption. In the beginning it was believed that August is possible but in labs there are some hitches in trials. There's no point you sitting and criticizing govt regarding these things.. We only tell govt a assumed date and they tell it to the public. If making vaccine was as easy as you sitting in the sofa and commenting, covid wouldn't have lasted for so many months
