Four Andhra Pradesh IPS officers get new postings


Amaravati, Oct 13 (IANS): Three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, who had been waiting for posting for some time, received orders for their new roles on Tuesday in Andhra Pradesh. Along with them, the transfer of another senior officer was also effected.

R. K. Meena, a 1995 batch IPS officer has been posted with immediate effect as additional director general of police (ADGP), Operations, in the Greyhounds and OCTOPUS department.

C. M. Thrivikrama Varma, another officer from the same batch has been assigned as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Guntur Range.

G. Vijay Kumar, a 2006 batch IPS officer, currently in the role of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Intelligence department has been posted as the special secretary to the government in the Home Department in an existing vacancy.

Sudheer Kumar Reddy, an IPS officer from 2010 batch, has been posted as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Vigilance and Enforcement Department.

All four appointments have come into force with immediate effect.

Chief secretary Nilam Sawhney issued the transfer and posting orders.
