Bantwal, Oct 13: Congress party staged protests in 38 gram panchayat limits of the taluk all at the same time alleging that the state government has failed to provide necessary facilities to the people in the villages.
Former minister B Ramanath Rai speaking in Kallige said that the state government has failed to provide pension to the elderly, weak, women and widows on time. “The attention will be drawn in the entire state about it,” he said.
District panchayat member Chandraprakash Shetty, taluk panchayat member Shivaprakash Kanapady, Diwaker Pambadabettu, Madhusoodan Shenoy, Ramesh and others were present.
Block president Baby Kunder speaking in front of Kavalabettu gram panchayat said that the state government has failed at all the stages.
Kisan Congress district president Mohan Gowda Kalmanja, Chandrashekar Karna, Dhanalaxmi Bangera, Virendra Ameen, Sharada Shetty, Abdul Latif, Manikyaraj Jain, Monakka, Clifford D’Souza, Justin Mathew and others were present.
