Tejashwi throws the gauntlet to Nitish for poll battle

Patna, Oct 14 (IANS): Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday set off to file his nomination from Raghopur Assembly segment during the day, but not before challenging Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for an electoral battle.

Before setting off to file his papers in Raghopur, the Leader of the Opposition also touched the feet of his mother Rabri Devi, the former Chief Minister of Bihar, and elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav to seek their blessings.

"I challenge Nitish Kumar to file nomination papers from any Assembly segment in his home district of Nalanda. I will also file my nomination from the same seat and defeat him," the RJD leader told the media.

Tejashwi is recontesting the Raghopur seat while Tej Pratap is fighting the Hassanpur seat in Samastipur district.
