Bantwal, Oct 16: “The reconstruction of the collapsed wall of Karinjeshwara temple here will be taken up soon after obtaining guidance from experts,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu.
He was speaking to news reporters after visiting the temple on Friday.
“Four temples including Karinja temple in the taluk are identified as tourist’s centres on my recommendation. More developments will be conducted in the temple,” he said.
Local people complained to the MLA that the break wall of the temple is damaged due to illegal mining in progress on government land. The MLA said that he will be holding a meeting of the officials of the department of revenue and geology and mining within the next 15 days and suitable action will be taken.
“Illegalities will not be permitted,” he assured.
