Mangaluru: Thieves at it again - Mulky witnesses serial thefts

Mangaluru, Oct 19: Thieves who gained entry into a jewellery store located at Charanthipete by breaking an exhaust fan inserted into the wall, have stolen silver and gold items worth about Rs 80,000. This incident happened on Sunday October 18.

Before entering the jewellery store, the thieves broke open the door of a house belonging to Sathish, which is located adjacent to the shop. They sifted through the items inside Sathish's house, which had suffered extensive damage due to heavy rainfall a few days back. He has been staying in a rented house at Chelairu. He visited his home usually during the daytime.

A scooter parked near an apartment complex near Narayana GuruHoslpital at Karnad was stolen on Saturday night. The police are checking the CCTV camera installed near Charanthipete for possible clues.

Temples, houses and shops located at Mulky and surrounding places have been witnessing thefts since the last some months regularly.
