Mangaluru: Srinivas University confers Honoris Causa upon Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swamiji

Mangaluru, Oct 21: Srinivas University conferred the degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa), Doctorate in Philosophy (Vedic Science & Dvaita Vedanta) upon Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swamiji of Palimar Math, Udupi on Srinivas University’s second annual convocation held on October 20 at Srinivas University, City Campus, Pandeshwar, here.

By receiving the degree, he said that there is always a connection between him and the name Srinivas. He remembered that when he was a kid, his Bramopadesha had been done in the place of Lord Srinivas. And now he is receiving a degree of Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) here, at Srinivas University.

C A A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University presided over the programme. He said that Sri Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swamiji receiving a PhD from our University was a great privilege to them.

Dr A Srinivas Rao – pro-chancellor, Dr P S Aithal – vice-chancellor, Dr Anil Kumar – registrar, Dr Srinivas Mayya – registrar (evaluation), Dr Ajay Kumar – registrar (development), Adithya Kumar – registrar (academic and development) of Srinivas University, Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Professor A Mitra S Rao – trustee members of the Board of governors were present on the occasion.
