Mangalore: Freak Fire in Bakery at Milagres - Loss of Assets worth Rs 6 Lac

Mangalore, Apr 26: In an unfortunate fire accident that took place at a bakery near Milagres in the wee hours of Monday April 26, the owner has met with the loss of approximately Rs 6 lac.
The bakery, Canara Traders and Bakery and Sweets owned by Noel Sandeep Menezes caught fire at about 3.00 am early morning that has been attributed to short circuit. The incident came to light when the shop was set to be opened for the day. On information, personnel of the police and fire departmentas reached the spot, informed police.
Fire personnel immediately helped put off the flames and douse the smoke, but the damage was already done. The furniture, bakery items annd equipments have been completely destroyed due to the fire.
A complaint has been registered by the owner at the Mangalore north (Bunder) police station.
