Bengaluru: Kumaraswamy, Deve Gowda seethe at Siddaramaiah's 'JDS non-entity' remark

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 29: In an angry barb aimed at Siddaramaiah for his remark about the JD(S) being a non-entity, former chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, reminded Siddaramaiah that the Congress leaders, after repeatedly vowing that Kumaraswamy will never become a chief minister of Karnataka at any cost, had humbly approached him at his home with a plea to become chief minister. "The people of Karnataka have witnessed what you did. Now, you are saying that my party is inconsequential," he retorted.

He was speaking at an election campaign organised in favour of the JD(S) candidate for the bypoll from Rajarajeshwari Nagar assembly constituency, V Krishnamurthy, on Wednesday, October 28. He said that the JD(S) was groomed by the poor classes, workers and farmers and not by rich people. He also said that party tickets have been issued to workers. He criticised the BJP and the Congress of enjoying power and spending money for various things which turned out to be wasteful in the end.

He also said that the Congress candidate from this constituency, who claims to work for the poor people had in fact, neglected her own in-laws who live in a village and failed to give stability to their lives. "Can we trust that she will look after the interests of the poor,?" he questioned.

Deve Gowda

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, H D Deve Gowda said he is hurt by the predictions being made by a few leaders who were with the JD(S) in the past and enjoyed power, that the party will cease to exist "I will fight for this regional party till my last breath. We were at the helm of the country's rule once. No one can finish us off," he declared.

About caste politics referred by D K Shivakumar, he said one should speak about development. He said he is aware of BJP general secretary, B Y Vijayendra's election gimmicks in Sira constituency. "Some allege that he has been distributing money through the police. Even after complaining, no action was taken. This situation is witnessed all over the country," he stated.

Why is Siddaramiah embaressing himself and the Congress party in particular . The whole world knows that he was a JDS who jumped to Congress and then again ran to HDKs house for his help and then became the peon of HDK. He is the biggest liability of the Congress.

This time what Siddaramaiah said looks to be right. JDS got votes because of seat sharing by congress. If JDS does not participate in the election, then major vote sharing will go to Congress. Unfortunately BJP is relishing at the differences between JDS and Congress.
Let JDS join hands with BJP and then they will know their actual status.
