Mangaluru, Oct 31: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa will be inaugurating the state special executive committee meeting on November 5 in Mangaluru, said district BJP president Sudarshan.

"The executive meeting will be held under the aegis of MP and state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel. After Nalin Kumar Kateel was appointed the BJP state president, he desired for an executive meeting to be held in every district and Dakshina Kannada, which is the hometown of the MP, will hold the executive meeting on November 5," Sudarshan said.

"We are delighted to host an executive meeting in Dakshina Kannada district. We have formed 16 groups and certain responsibilities have been assigned to each group, so far three meetings have been conducted. Everyone is channelling their efforts towards the success of this meeting," the district BJP president stated.

"Organising an executive meeting in every district as planned by the state BJP president which begins from Dakshina Kannada will encourage the party representatives. It would serve as an experience for the leaders who have assumed responsibilities in the party for the upliftment of the party," he said.

Adding to this, Sudarshan said, "As many as 158 BJP leaders have confirmed their attendance for the meeting. Union leaders such as D V Sadananda Gowda, Pralhad Joshi, state leaders C T Ravi, Jagadish Shettar, and K S Eshwarappa will be also attending the meeting. Leaders of various morchas, presidents, general secretaries, party convenors, co-convenors, heads of various cells, core committee members, and regional organising secretaries will also be present for the executive meeting."

"Our prime focus will be on upcoming gram panchayat elections. We will discuss the future plans of the party in the state as well as strengthening the party in the state. To bolster the party in the state, the booth committee is active in the district, we are conducting Kutumba Milana programme in every booth to prepare them for the upcoming elections," said Sudharshan.
