Mangaluru: ‘Victory in bypolls definite for BJP’ - State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Nov 1: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that BJP's victory in both the assembly constituencies of R R Nagar and Shira is for sure.

Nalin was speaking in the city in the wake of the closure of outdoor campaigning for the by- elections. He further said, "BJP wave is clearly seen in both the constituencies during campaigning. BJP will be victorious in the Shira constituency for the first time.

"BJP is campaigning on the basis of development done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister B S Yediyurappa. Congress and JD(S) are scared of losing. So they are trying to do emotional caste politics.

"BJP is not discussion on the result of the by-election. This election will not have any impact on the administration of the state. The party is secure with 117 seats in the state assembly. It will not give up any seat,” he said.

When questioned about MLA Yatnal's statement on CM Yediyurappa, Nalin replied, "I have already spoken to Yatnal. He is conveyed about the disciplinary action in case of such statements. He has given this statement in some situation. Rest all are fine. There are no issues."

The reason for the oneway traffic, in favor of the ruling political dispensation, are primarily due to the utter collapse, of all opposition parties in the state... The voters have no credible alternative, in their sight !! This is also true, in the Bihar elections !! Voters are disgusted with the antics, of family run dynasties !!!

Admittedly there is a scarcity of good young Congress leaders and currentl young voters find it difficult to comprehend . Thats why this Nalin guy is confident . The Congress has always been singing praises of the old leaders who are past their prime. Despite losses they are made to contest repeatedly, rather than introspecting and understanding the pulse of the people. Gone are those days where some candidate would win based on his popularity and proximity to the Gandhi family. Today is performance based. 'What are your achievements? Are you able to deliver?' . Moreover when the candidate comes with a dynastic background and controversy as his baggage , the more risk of being rejected. BJP minority Morcha and JDS are swelling with traditional congress supporter hopping.
