Mangaluru, Nov 1: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa will inaugurate the state special executive committee meeting on November 5 at TV Raman Pai Hall, said district BJP president Sudarshan.

Addressing media on Sunday November 1, he said, “Due to Covid, the appointment of state BJP committee members was delayed. Two decades ago, executive committee meeting was conducted here. This is the first time after MP Nalin Kumar Kateel was appointed as state BJP president, executive meeting is being held in his hometown.

“Chief minister B S Yediyurappa will inaugurate the meeting which will be presided by Nalin Kumar Kateel. Organising general secretary B L Santhosh will take part in the valedictory ceremony.

“Leaders of various morchas, presidents, general secretaries, party convenors, co-convenors, heads of various cells, core committee members, and regional organising secretaries will be invited for the executive meeting. Opinions will be sought from the leaders on organisation management. Some important decisions will be taken during the meeting pertaining to strengthening the party and its future plans. Decisions on development works will also be taken,” he said.

Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor, district BJP secretaries Kasturi Panja and Sudheer Shetty Kannur and MUDA chairman Ravishankar Mijar were present.
