Bantwal, May 2: The passers-by in the town for once are sure will be taken aback sighting wild animals on the road side here. But a second glance is enough to convince that they are just the stuff-toy replica of the animals.
A migrant Lambani family from New Delhi, who are into the profession of making toys of wild animals stuffing them with the foam are displaying for sale toy imitation of tigers, bears and pet dogs among others. The features of animals are that precise and are attracting many a customers. The teddy bears that emerge from the expert hands of Lambani family have genuine appeal and inspire an impulsive buy for many.
The family consists of 13 members headed by veteran Jeevan Ram. His family has put-up a tent at B C Road here and are engaged in toy-making. The members have made the taluk their destination after covering Coimbattore, Ahmedabad, Goa, Kolkata and Bangalore. They informed that their wares have got a very good response wherever they had been on tour.
The family earns its livelihood through this profession. The toys are priced reasonably between Rs 250 to Rs 2,500 depending on size and the category.
