Bengaluru: 'Anti-religious conversion law will be implemented in Karnataka' - C T Ravi

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 3: Minister for Kannada and culture, C T Ravi, said that Karnataka will soon pass an anti-religious conversion act.

In a tweet relating to the subject, he said that the state will be adopting the act as per the orders of the Allahabad high court, with the specific aim of stopping religious conversion for the explicit purpose of marriage. "If Jihadis continue to tamper with the dignity of our sisters, we will not sit quiet. There is a need to hand down harsh and quick punishments to people who get involved with religious conversion activities," he has opined.

In a recent verdict, the Allahabad high court had said that religious conversions for the specific purpose of marriage alone cannot be upheld. The court had given this judgement, duly rejecting a plea made by a couple seeking protection for three months after their marriage, duly refusing to intervene in the matter.

As per the constitution of India there is no provision and not necessary to state reason for religious conversion. Same as no provision to state reason to marry.

If any law has to be enforced in INDIA that should be following law.
The candidate who want to represent any political party as MLA or MP should be at least a degree qualified and has to present the certificate with proper attestation by HRD.

Dear minister C. T. Ravi, instead of taking so much trouble, going through so much head ache, causing hurt/pain/discomfort to others why can't you make one religion and one caste... Because all of us worship god the Almighty only one god... Why hundreds of castes/creeds and thousand laws to fight for the same...

Work for badly needed National developments, infrastructure, unemployment, Covid 19 vaccine, health and medical priority ................... list is big but leaders got more time to discuss non related issues. No other religions (combined) can take over Hindus. Firstly, we are Indians and live and die as Indians. We love our mother Nation.

'Anti-religious conversion law will be implemented in Karnataka'
What about foreigners or minorities getting converted to Hinduism. (That has got nothing to do ?)
    Why applying rules and force.
choice of religion should be left to individual wish.
