Mangaluru: Netizens troll Kalladka Bhat for 'Pakistan' remark

Daijiworld Media Network- Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Nov 3: A day after RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat made a fresh controversial remark by comparing Ullal in Mangaluru to Pakistan, the comment invited a lot of criticism from social media users.

Soon after a video clip of Bhat's speech appeared on social media, few netizens began trolling Kalladka.

Reportedly, it is said that the video of Bhat's speech which has gone viral, was made at a convention held in closed doors at Kinya on Sunday, November 1.

Social media memes

One user on social media wrote, 'Mangalurinida Ullalake hoguva city busugalanella innu munde antharastriya sarige endu goshasibeku'. "Henceforth all city buses plying from Mangaluru to Ullal should be announced as international transport."

Another user wrote, "Henceforth, instead of a bus ticket, a passport is required to travel Ullal."

While yet another user morphed a picture of a private bus with a name board that read 'State Bank to Pakistan'.

Though the region has a history of communal incidents, as an outcome for controversial remarks, this time around people belonging to different faiths have taken remark quite lightly and acted wisely by posting funny memes.

These trolls represent freedom of speech as much as Dr. Bhat's statement. Let us celebrate the it superficially. But these trolls speak volumes on how "ignorance is bliss" about these guys and not Mr. Bhat.

Please dig history and see what was Syria and for that matter Turkey which has huge expectations to develop equations within EU.

Leftist ideology needs to be taken head-on.

    Dear Navaneetha, Mangalore,
Frankly, I do not have answer to your question for the reason that I am not posting comments to argue, but only to express my opinion. You are right to ask it. No answer, and also thanks for asking it.

Politicization of Islam can have disastrous consequences, and there are ample examples. You asking the question did make me introspect on one fact viz., why am I being alarmist, when what I am sounding did not happen during my adulthood, & why will it happen in near future.

Appreciate your question, and hope that my fears are completely unfounded.

But it does not hurt to be cautious when world around us is changing so fast. Pacifists in Europeans are getting Halal and there are plenty or arguments in favor of it by mature Muslim societies (incl. Niazi, Mahathir and Erdogan). Gazwa-e-Hind is also part of the holy book that any Mukri will profess. On the other hand, Europeans are the very people who have major influence on our history and whence our way of contemplation...when did freedom of expression become haram meat?

Kalladka being a physician by profession if he well educated person makes such nation breaking statements then what is the future of this country???????.....When congress single handedly gave Independence to this country in 1947 there was nothing of this idea till BJP assumed power by hook and crook overwhelmingly in 2014. The whole country was united till BJP started fishing in troubled waters and it continues to foment trouble and keeps the unrest and agitation going which is destroying the country. It's a big challenge to keep any country united for its vast diversity but don't make it worse and break the country internally and make the environment conducive .

Yes, single handedly. If you have doubt, name the leaders that were there in the freedom struggle and later became part of BJP. I'm telling you, absolutely NONE. All of you guys' father, grand father and all were part of Congress to chase away the invaders.

Your Patamaha ABV was in the British Camp giving witness against a Congress leader. Then where is BJP's share in the freedom fight ?? Tell me !

One account says that, invaders left India due to 2nd world war. They had to reconstruct their own country rather than managing other nations. So suitable time came in. During that time Congress was the only political party and they got easy power. That was the real story.
