Mysuru, Nov 4: Former CM and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah said that Congress will be victorious in both the legislative assembly constituencies of Sira and RR Nagar.

Speaking to scribes in the city, Siddaramaiah said, "These are votes of Congress party. In the last assembly elections, huge false propaganda was made. Congress had won the RR Nagar seat last time. In addition, when we campaigned, voters had shown their support to the Congress party. So Congress is going to win both the seats.

"There is no need to start schools this year. This is my personal suggestion to the government. This year let all the students be passed after holding online classes. Once the coronavirus pandemic is completely over, let the schools begin. There is no need to start schools in a hurry," he said.

"Modi's name will not make any influence in the USA. Will Americans vote based on Modi's face? Trump had sought votes taking Modi's name during the campaign. The election is the USA is entirely different. Even the NRIs there will not vote because of Modi. In India itself, people are against Modi. He has spoilt the economy of the country. GDP has reached its nadir. The youth are expressing their rage against Modi. During Bihar election campaigning people have thrown onions at Nitish Kumar. So in such circumstances, Modi's name will not make any difference."

Siddaramaiah said, "CM will be changed in the state after the bye-elections. BJP is going to change CM. Yediyurappa will not continue as CM. For sure Yediyurappa is going to lose his chair. I am saying this on the basis of the information that I have received from New Delhi. The accusation of corruption that I have made on him might be one of the reasons also. BJP is mulling of changing the CM for many months now. So Yediyurappa is going to be dethroned after the bye-elections."

As soon as Siddaramaiah arrived in the city, the activists gathered around him. He took the opportunity to teach them about social distancing. Siddaramaiah said, "All of you go far. Maintain six feet distance from me. Even if you stand beside me I will not come. If you stand close to me, I will not speak to the media also."
