Rang Tarang: Singer Dr Prashanth Raj Arrives in Dubai

Dubai, May 4: Dr Prashanth, who will be performing live in concert as part of FAMAD Pernal’s mega event ‘Humaid Al Suwaidi RANG TARANG 2010’, has arrived in Dubai City late last night.
He is accompanied by Dr Sudha Mascarenhas, his better half. Committee members of FAMAD Pernal headed by president Charles Mathias and Rang Tarang 2010 coordinator Dony Correa, cultural secretary Vincy Lobo and others were at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2 and welcomed the singer and his wife with floral bouquets.
“I am pleased to perform for the first time in the UAE. I appreciate the enthusiasm for Konkani shows in this region, and [am] really looking forward to perform on Friday”, a jubilant Dr Prashanth Raj said.

Dr Prashanth Raj who is well-known to Konkani music by a number of hits such as ‘Haum Ek Sopnnelli’, ‘Bhangar Tum Mhojem’, ‘Ghoddi Udelli Bov Kuxechi’ and ‘Raat Zalea Raat’ will perform live at the mega event called ‘Merit Freight Dr Prashanth Raj Live in Concert’.
The other attraction of the event will be an innovative, highly captivating ‘Integrated Freight & Logistics FAMAD Antakshari’ which will witness a musical war for glory and glamour between four finalist duos.
This is FAMAD Pernal’s another creative and highly entertaining event. Last year’s 3-in-1 super-hit event witnessed a whopping 1,200 plus crowd.
Tickets are available with denominations of Dh30 and Dh50. The show will be on May 7, at 4.30pm at the Emirates Theatre, Exit 41, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
