Udupi, Nov 5: The taluk health department officials who raided a dental clinic laboratory which was being run in the city by a fake lady dentist, sealed the same. A case in this connection was lodged in the town police station here.

A lady named Shwetha was permitted to run a dental clinic titled 'Shaswhat Dental Clinic Lab' at the city bus stand here as per The Private Medical Establishments Act 2007. It is said that Shwetha, instead of running the clinic herself, allowed another lady, Radha Govinda Bhandary, who does not hold a medical degree, to operate the clinic.

Health department officials who collected this information, raided the clinic. Udupi taluk health officer Dr Nagaratna, has complained to the police that the accused have breached the trust reposed on them by the health department and the general public and cheated them.

The town police who have registered the case, are investigating.
