Udupi: Teenagers meet watery grave - Two drown, one survives

Udupi, Nov 5:In a shocking incident that occurred on Thursday evening, two teenagers lost their lives by drowning in a pond in Hejamadi. The youths had gone swimming in the pond following which the accident took place.

The deceased identified as N S road resident Mohsin and S S road resident Mohammed Rais were only 16 years of age. Three of the boys had gone swimming near Kamini river out of which two of them drowned.

A lady on seeing the three of them drowning alerted the locals, who immediately pulled the boys out of the water. As per reports, one of the teenagers had already breathed his last while the other passed away on the way to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the third youth Mohammed Nabil survived.

Padubidri police have visited the site and case has been registered in this connection.
