Daijiworld Udupi brings forth attractive contest on Children's Day

Udupi, Nov 6: Daijiworld Udupi and Kishoo Enterprises, Udupi have come up with a unique contest for children on the occasion of Children's Day.

The contest will be held in two different categories and promises to be filled with excitement and delight. At the same time, it will also serve as a platform to showcase the hidden talents of children.

The attempt is to get a glimpse of traditional attires of different states of India. The second competition which is a video contest will help in creating awareness regarding our responsibility towards Mother Nature.

Amid the pandemic, children have missed out on many recreational activities and therefore this contest is an opportunity to bring joy to the children and instil them with confidence.

'Vaividhyaranga' is a photo contest for the children between the age 6 to 9 years and 'Nisargadolaginda' is a video contest for children between the age 9 to 12 years.

Vaividhyaranga - Last date to send entries on or before November 13

Vaividhyaranga photo contest based on the theme of Diversity in India. India is the one the most diverse countries in the world be it, culture, language, region, geographic area, religion and so on.

The contest showcases an opportunity to explore Indian culture through fancy dress. The children would be required to dress up in traditional attires which feature the diverse cultures of India. Through this contest, the parents will have a chance to dress up their children in the most creative manner possible.

Rules and Regulations

• Children between age 6 to 9 years can participate (Before November 15)
• Photos with watermark and manipulated elements will be rejected
• Photos must be clear. Minimum image size 5x7 inches.
• Participants can send a maximum of three photographs clicked at different angles.
• The selected region must belong in India.
• While sending the photographs, participants must specify the region or name of the state and the culture associated with it.
• Priority will be given to creative photos and how deeply the participants have showcased the culture of the specific region.
• While sending the entries, accurate information regarding the name of the participants, parents name, school name, age, address, and phone number.
• A copy of the birth certificate of the child featured in the picture should be attached.

Nisargadolaginda - Last date to send entries on or before November 13

Another unique contest, which will be based on the theme of environment. Participants can select any topic on nature and will be required to dress based on this theme. The participants will have to create a video on the topic and present a beautiful message to society in order to create awareness on the conservation of the environment.

Rules and Regulations

• Children between the age 9 to 12 years can participate in the contest (Before November 13).
• Edited or watermarked videos are not accepted.
• Videos must be clear and stable.
• Only landscape videos will be accepted.
• The topic should be on the theme conservation of the environment.
• The length of the video should not exceed 3 minutes.
• Priority will be given to the content, quality of the subject and creativity.
• Participants can speak in Kannada, English, Hindi, Tulu and Konkani languages.
• While sending the entries, accurate information regarding the name of the participants, parents name, school name, age, address, and phone number.
• A copy of the birth certificate of the child featured in the picture should be attached.
• Selected videos will be telecasted on Daijiworld247 on November 14.

The decision of the judges will be final in both categories.

In each category first, second, third and three consolation winners will be selected. Winners will receive a cash prize, memento and certificates.
