Karnataka too bans bursting of firecrackers this Diwali festival

Bengaluru, Nov 6: Karnataka has also joined Delhi and other State governments in banning the bursting of firecrackers during the coming Deepavali festival on account of problems arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday announced that the State Government has banned bursting of firecrackers this Diwali festival and orders will be issued on the matter soon.

Apart from Delhi, the State Governments of Rajasthan, West Bengal, Haryana and Odisha have banned the bursting of firecrackers during this Diwali festival.

    Good disicion during this pendamic.We have to take it seriously because Corona virus spike protein targeting the lungs. Good quality of air will an added advantage those with weak immunity.
    If Corona control is achieved everything will be normal
    I am against the inhumane way of producing fire crackers in Sivakasi of TN state where thousands of child labourers are utilized for hazardous task.Also we don't require China made products

    Bursting of Firecrackers and Ban is good and in the same spirit Ban LOUDSPEAKERS also so that we can live in peace of mind. If some group burst the crackers what action are you taking ????

    Very brave decision by the CM but a right one. Lets all of usas Indians celeberate Diwali this year without crackers. And the money we save by spending on crackers be spent on our near and dear ones and some onn those who have lesser means to spend. God bless our CM.

    Very good move by CM sir, public health and preventing of noise-air pollution is necessary at this juncture ..... Festivals can be celebrated next year too .... i support complete permanent ban to firecrackers, it is nuisance and hazardous too ....
