Dharwad, Nov 10: The third additional district court here remanded former minister Vinay Kulkarni, who has been arrested in connection with the murder of BJP activist Yogesh Gowda to judicial custody till November 23.
The court had asked Vinay to appear personally in the court for hearing at 11 am on Monday November 9. But the hearing was performed through video conference as lot of fans and relatives of Vinay had gathered at the court premises. Advocates for the Central Bureau of Investigation and Vinay Kulkarni were present. The court, after hearing arguments from both the sides. ordered him to be in judicial custody till November 23.
Advocates for Central Bureau of Investigation sought court's permission to conduct polygraph test on Vinay but the court rejected the request, expressing the opinion that the same is not needed for the present.
