Mangaluru, Nov 11: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) opposition leader Abdul Rauf alleged that the MCC administration is in urgency to clear the funds allotted for Smart City project.

Addressing the media here on Wednesday November 11, he said, "There is no coordination between the MCC and Smart City officials. Simultaneously, six Smart City road works were undertaken which led to a lot of confusion and traffic congestion in the city. Without any proper vision and planning, Smart City works have been undertaken."

He further said, "Smart City means stress on developing tourism and attracting tourists, but no measures have been taken to attract tourism under the Smart City project. BJP does not know how to run the administration and lack experience."

Former mayors Bhaskar Moily and Jacintha Alfred, corporator Lancelot Pinto, Lateef Kandak, A C Vinayaraj and others were present.

I would suggest you stop this blame game. As it is the party is losing credibility everywhere. These press conferences are just time pass and no one even takes you guys seriously. Its clearly evident from the election results. If you trying to build a career from these conferences then,,, god save you!

Whatever.. But the points mentioned by them are correct. Current administration is using smart city funds just for digging and dumping. Where is the development taken. Not a single notable development. Should pay 20rs even for entering that panambur beach, tree park etc... In other cities they are all free.. No marine drive nothing.
