Bidar: Cylinder Blast – Four from a Family Perish

Bidar, May 8: Four members of a single family, living in Vaishnavi Colony in Shivanagar here, died on Friday May 7, after a cooking gas (LPG) cylinder went off.

Pavade Lakshman (70), his wife, Lakshmi Bai (60), their daughter-in-law, Gayatri Ajit (35) and Gayatri’s son, Srijan (8) died in the cylinder blast. Mahendra, son of  Pavade Lakshman, is employed with the local branch of HDFC Bank Ltd, and his parents were on a visit to the town from their native place.

The family lived in a house owned by Basavaraj Humnabad. Usha (45), wife of the owner, who rushed to the spot after hearing the blast, sustained injuries.
