Mangaluru: Yenepoya School and Pre-University College observes Founder's Day

Mangaluru, Nov 14: The Yenepoya School and Pre-University College on November 14 celebrated their Founder's Day.

The programme began with a prayer and the welcome address by the principal. The event was presided over by the chief guest, Captain Brijesh Chowta, former Indian Army officer and social activist, who delivered the YMK Memorial Lecture, along with Y Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor and Farhaad Yenepoya, pro-chancellor of Yenepoya University, who also delivered the presidential address.

The other dignitaries present were Joseph Mechirath, principal of the Yenepoya School and Mishria Javeed, campus director of the Yenepoya School.

On the occasion, Ramananda and K Moideen Kunhi Manjanaday were honoured and awarded the 'Yenepoya Teacher Award 2020' in the high school and primary categories respectively. The awardees spoke a few words and addressed the gathering.

The programme culminated with the vote of thanks delivered by Calvin D'Souza faculty of the department of Mathematics and the National Anthem. Sushil Rathi, faculty of the department of Science, was the MC of the programme.
