Mangalore: Al Madeena Organization Holds Mass Wedding

Mangalore, May 9: A mass wedding of four poor women was conducted by Al Madeena organization, Manjanady here at Al Madeena Community Hall, Natekal, on Sunday May 9.
Ullal Tangal Shaikuna Tajul Ulema, Asayyed Abdul Rehman Al Bukhari, Manjanady Ustad C P Mohammed Kunhi Musliar, Al Madeena chairman Shaikuna P M Abbas Ustad led the solemnization of weddings.
Haseena, daughter of H Ibrahim, residing under the jurisdiction of Hosangady Jamaat and Abdul Rasheed, son of Ibrahim, residing at Mallur; Ayeesha, daughter of the late Mohammed at Pavoor Jamaat and Harris, son of K Ismail at Salettoor; Naseema, daughter of Abdul Khader at Manjanady Jamaat and Ashpak, son of Abdulla, residing under Ullal Jamaat; Tanveera, daughter of Ismail, residing under Manjanady Jamaat and Muneer, son of Abdulla at Yadayattoor Jamaat were solemnized in the holy bond of marriage
Speaking on the occasion, Al Madeena chairman P M Abbas, said that since 2000, their organization has been holding mass wedding of community women who are poor, burdened with dowry demands and exceeded marriageable age. One hundred fourteen poor community women were helped to get married by the organization so far, he informed.
Al Madeena Education Institutions chairman Sadhoo Kunhi Master, mass community wedding committee president S K Abdul Khader Haji, Hasanabba Haji Kolkatta, advisory committee member Hyder Partippady, Saboo Sufian, H I Ibrahim Musliar, Kodagu district Al Madina organization president K H Mohammed Kunhi, Ali Kunhi Pare, N S Karim, environmentalist Hasanabba Ammembal, Mohammed Master, Asian Bava Haji, Ibrahim Bava Haji and MLA U T Khader among others were present on the occasion.
