Dharwad, Nov 16: A person has registered a complaint against a police inspector. The inspector has been accused of forcibly taking away gold ornaments worth about a crore of rupees belonging to the complainant.
The complaint was filed by Omkar Gowda Patil, a retired employee. He has filed the above complaint against inspector of Navanagara station Prabhu Surina in Navanagar police station.
Patil has said that the said inspector, in connivance with his daughter-in-law Shivaleela working as a software engineer at Bengaluru and another person named Santhosh Kumar Guddapurmath had posed life threat to him before forcibly taking away two kilograms of gold ornaments worth about one crore rupees.
The complaint was registered in tune with the court order. Now, the investigation is progressing under the supervision of higher officials in the department.
