Sharjah : Film Stars, Former Minister to Add Glitter to Karnataka Sangha Anniversary

Sharjah, May 11: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, under the leadership of Noel D Almeida, is all set to present its eighth Annual Programme 2010, to be held on May 14, 2010 at Gulf Asian English School here.
This year's event will be replete with some fine musical entertainment, to be provided by professional artistes from Mangalore as well as some Kannada film stars and politicians.

Kannada film Star, Harishraj, Badari Prasad of ‘Akka’, and Congress parliamentarian, A H Vishwanath, have already confirmed their participation in the event.
Adaguru H Vishwanath, MP from Mysore and a state ex-minister for Kannada and Culture, sports and youth services, forest, primary and higher education and co-operation, will be the chief guest of the event.
Film star, Harishraj, who will be arriving from Bangalore for participating in the function, will be an added attraction. This young actor has earned a name for himself in Sandalwood with good performances in many tele-series and films like ‘Dweepa’ and ‘Thaayi Saheba’, directed by Girish Kasaravalli. Harishraj has now made it big as a hero and director, with ‘Kalaakar’.
The highlight of Karnataka Sangha's eighth anniversary will be the presentation of ‘Mayura’ award to James Mendonca, a prominent businessman and philanthropist from Dubai.
‘Junior Rajkumar’, Jagadish Shivpur, Max Karkada, Rajgopal, Jyotsna, Naveen Koppa and others will arrive all the way from Mangalore to entertain the Kannadiga audience in the UAE on the occasion.
