Bantwal, Nov 23: A seminar on drinking water supply and Covid-19 was held in the cooperation of department of rural development and panchayat raj, rural drinking water and hygiene, district panchayat and taluk panchayat in B C Road taluk panchayat auditorium on Monday. A poster on drinking water supply was also released on the occasion.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadiguthu inaugurating the programme said that the officials should get down working to supply drinking water to every house before the year 2023 as per the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

District panchayat member Ravindra Kambali complained that no funds are released to the district panchayat for the purpose. District panchayat members Chandraprakash Shetty and Jayashree Kodandoor joined him. MLA Rajesh Naik directed the officials to take action in this connection.

Taluk panchayat president Chandrahas Karkera, vice president Abbas Ali, taluk panchayat social justice committee president Mallika Shetty, district panchayat members Tungappa Bangera, K Ravindra Kambali, Kamalakshi K Poojary, Jayashree Kodandoor, Chandraprakash Shetty Tumbe, life skills trainer Srikanth Poojary Biravu, rural drinking water and hygiene department assistant executive engineer Taranath Salian, taluk panchayat executive Rajanna were present. District convener Prasad Kumar gave an introduction. Dombayya Idkidu compered the programme.
