Udupi: Prize distribution ceremony of Children's Photography contest held

Udupi, Nov 25: "Children are equivalent to God. When they smile they are really beautiful. The skill of capturing their smile is known only to photographers," said Jayakara Shetty, chief manager of Badagubettu Credit Cooperative Society.

Jayakara Shetty was speaking at a prize distribution ceremony of Children's Photography contest - 2020 organized by South Kanara Photographers' Association (SKPA) Udupi zone on the occasion of Children's Day, which was held at Jagannath Sabha Bhavana on Tuesday November 24.

Jayakara Shetty further said that SKPA is involved in social work and is developing into a model organization.

The guest on the occasion and the district president of SKPA, Karandady Sridhar Shettigar said, "Clicking photos of children is a tough job. The photographer has to analyze the mood, situation and feelings of the child and also see that the children are not distracted and make the parents also happy."

Children who won prizes were given cash support, memento, photo frame of their photo and gift items.

District press spokesperson Janardhan Kodavoor, district organizing secreatary Sundara Poojary Kolalagiri, zonal honorary president Shiva K Amin and zonal honorary president Naveen Ballal were present.

Zonal president, Prakash Kodankoor welcomed the gathering. Chief secretary, Sukesh Amin rendered the vote of thanks. Raghavendra Marne compered the programme.
