Mangaluru: Constitution Day celebrated at Mount Carmel Central School

Mangaluru, Nov 26: The Constitution Day was celebrated on November 26 at Mount Carmel Central School to create awareness on the Indian Constitution.

The programme commenced with a prayer service, praying for our country, its leaders and all the citizens. The significance of the day was given by teacher Richa through a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a cultural programme highlighting the Preamble of our Constitution, the major principles of our Constitution and the need to preserve the national integrity of our country.

The oath was administered by teacher Rama. As a mark of respect, a fitting tribute was paid to Dr B R Ambedkar, who played a pivotal role in drafting the Constitution. The auspicious day concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.



Teacher Poornima was the MC for the day. The programme culminated with a sense of patriotism and an awareness to abide by the Constitution of our Nation.

Later, during the online classes, a quiz was conducted for the students on the important aspects of our Constitution.
