Mumbai, May 17 (IANS): A man was killed and another injured Monday after a gas cylinder exploded in a chemical factory in Tarapur town of Maharashtra's Thane district, officials said.

The blast occurred at around noon at Rajendra Chemical Factory in the town, about 90 km north of Mumbai. "Although there was no fire, we got a rescue call, as one person had died in the blast," a fire brigade official said.
